Second Book in The Network Series
Alkarra Awakening is the second book in the thrilling new fantasy collection The Network Series. It’s a haunting tale about tragedy, loss, and the power of moving on.
I have already read the whole series but am now going back and listening to them in the audiobook form. I find that it is a totally different experience and I pick up on different details of the story. I mostly listen in my car, during my 15 minute commute - so basically in short snippets!
The story itself is painful. You can feel the rage and pain in Bianca as you listen to the story unfold. I would find myself working hard, right beside Bianca, as she runs through Letum Wood. This is where we first get a glimpse into the magic of the forest and its connection to Bianca.
This is a wonderful continuation of the first book in this series, Miss Mable’s School for Girls. I really enjoy Bianca and her contingent of friends, family and acquaintances. She continues to mature in this book and is becoming a strong force. I love that even though life has dealt her a lot of hard situations she is determined to keep on keeping on. She faces new trials in this book. Learning to deal with frustrations and sadness she works to gain better control of her magic. This book introduces new challenges which are faced by Bianca with the same unflagging determination. I can’t wait for the next book.
Listening to these books is so enthralling. Waiting on the edge for all the twists and turns keeps you within the story from start to finish
Even though I have already read the whole series in ebook format, listening to the audiobook is captivating. I get completely wrapped up in the story! I think I catch things now when I am listening that I missed when I read the book. I can’t wait to listen to book 3!!
Love your books, well written & attention getting. I like Becca's narration of the Network books & hope she continues throughout. I will be searching for her other narrated books if she has them.
