The first book in the Dragonmaster Trilogy

Narrated by: Fiona Dexter

In Anguis, magic is forbidden.

Dragon Servants Sanna and Isadora Spence live deep in Letum Wood, where persnickety dragons and wars on the borders are the least of their worries.

Thanks to years of simmering tension, the hidden village is destined to crack. Soon. Sanna’s deep love for the giant beasts causes her to make an irreversible mistake, while Isadora’s disinterest leads her to a fateful decision that will change the course of the entire world.

Can the sisters prevent everything they know from falling apart? Or do they allow it to break and pave the way for new growth?

Join these beloved sisterwitches in a story about sisterhood, new magic, and dealing with change.

Sisterwitches and Dragons

This is the beginning of our love of all things Alkarra. This is a story of sisterwitches Sanna and Isadora, their different paths as they come into their own, magic, dragons and more. You’ll love the adventure that awaits as you listen to this book.

A surprising story of two witch sisters!

This story tells us of Sanna's and Isadora's surprising beginnings (at least to me) - their lives were certainly not something I would have expected after reading the Network series. But seeing their characters at an earlier age and then knowing how they are when they’re older, gives me a lot of admiration for the author's ability to make these characters grow and for us to care about them. So much gentle humor runs through the story, and I really enjoyed Maximilian and Luteis. The narrator was amazing.

Great start!

I’ve read Flame before, so I knew I liked the story. The audiobook is fun, too, although the narrator has chosen a weirdly hoity-toity voice for 17-year-old Isadora that makes her sound pretty whiny.
Other than that, great audio and very professional! Looking forward to book 2.

Love it!

Gosh I've just realized how much I love dragons. Can't wait to read more as Isadora and Sanna's stories continue and they are shaped into the women of Bianca's day

Dragons!

Since I read Miss Mabel’s and the rest of the Network series first, it was wonderful to read about Sanna and Isadora! I love them both, though they are very different.
