A great read that finally gives background into who Pedr truly is. Written in two parts, The Arcanist of the Sea is a fantastic read with interesting twists and turns. It is recommended that the first three books of the Isles series are read prior to this one, but it is not entirely necessary. Britt and Henrik’s budding romance is put to the background while we see what it is like to be Britt’s brother Pedr. Will Pedr finally find what he has spent his life looking for?
Who would have thought that would work? Absolutely loved this one! Katie never disappoints! There's lots of action and adventure in this arcane battle between good and evil. It's a great read! I love the arrangement of seeing each character's point of view in the same scene. Looking forward to reading the next one in the series!
Love that Katie goes back and gives us the beginning of their relationship. So enjoyable. I can’t put it down already rereading it.
From the first time you meet Pedr he becomes a favorite. He has humor, determination, intelligence and perseverance. He has been on a mission to get his love, Mila, back for the last 15 years. Not even a curse stopped him. He has Mila back. But now the curse is activated, and he doesn’t have a lot of time to stop it. With Mila and Einar’s help they concoct plan after plan. Along the way they discover many things are not what they seem or what they have been made to believe. So many events happen and lies are revealed. Many revelations and new situations take place. The journey was action packed and intense. There are many surprises near the end. They were all worth the ride. As always Katie makes you feel so many emotions along the journey creating an extraordinary experience.
Wow, Katie, you’ve done it again!!! I started this series because I have enjoyed your Bianca stories so much, and I feel like your writing just gets better and better!! Each book of the Isles series made me want the next one - good news is I bought them all! Bad news is I had to wait for this one. Soooo worth the wait. I always thought I only loved dragons and not wyverns, but you’ve changed my mind on that. AND I thought I had figured out how it would resolve and I was so wrong!!! LOVE that! So I’m ready for book 5, and look forward to seeing Britt and Henrik again! Thanks, Katie, for immersing me in the Isles, and in Alkarra and all your fantasy lands. I’m a huge fan.
