Never underestimate the power of a distant witch.
Bianca Monroe has one goal when she enters the land of the gods.
Convince Ignis, the god of fire, to take his magic back.
How hard could it be?
But Alaysia is not what Bianca expected.
In fact, it is better.
Wild. Beautiful. Powerful. Dangerous.
While Bianca battles rogue demigods and unfamiliar magic, Ignis whispers promises she cannot easily ignore: eternal power, effortless magic, and the salvation of Alkarra itself.
But treachery thrives in the land of the gods.
Every alliance has a shadow. Every promise has a cost. And Bianca is no longer certain who she can trust.
As the fire god’s magic burns within her, one question haunts her every step: should she give her loyalty to the god of fire who offers her power?
Or to the forgotten goddess she barely knows?

I’ve just finished the Forgotten Gods. I think I’ve read this before. So wonderful. Weird, complicated, scary, sad tears. If you’re ever felt the life in trees and plants you can feel the love Bianca has for her forest and her land. And of course her people. How hard would it be to not go to the people you love that are in the lands beyond and stay with others you love. Katie explains this so well. I wish I had the talent she has to express that.
No spoilers here. Keep reading and allow me to tempt you into reading this book!
It was time to make find what all the fuss was about with the gods was all about. Bianca was just the right witch to tackle this adventure!
If you think you know what Bianca Monroe is going to do next - or that she would even consider shying away from a challenge...keep reading and get ready to have your socks knocked off again.
I love reading Katie Cross's books. The characters are well written with so much depth. I can see me living in her world!
I have all this series so far and found this one very boring and struggled to get through this book, dont think I will buy the next book...its put me off
I had put this book in the backburner till I finished the Derek & Regina novellas. I knew how this book ended but the journey of how Bianca flexes her Godmagic is quite powerful and the suspense of whether she is a force to be reckoned with is definitely worth reading about. We are transported into beautiful Alaysia this time and I absolutely loved every part of it and getting to know the "Good" and mal Gods.
