I loved learning more about the Great Library of Burke and the family that was responsible for its existence. It was a wild ride and I enjoyed every minute of it.
The library in this book is just as much a character as the witches in this story. All the feels to be had as all within discover their place in this world.
Katie's story telling and passionate narration brings all of Alkarra and her inhabitants to life.
A great addition to the Historical collection and a stand alone novel for Alkarra
This book is yet another entry into Alkarra as Katie masterfully explains how the Great Library of Burke came to be. I never give spoilers when I put up a review but I will say that just the way the book starts with the library as just one room and how it grows, why it grows…. Incredible story telling. A nice back story as those who have read other novels by Katie Cross know that the Great Library of Burke is key in many stories.
You will not be disappointed to pick this book up and start reading right now!
