Never underestimate the power of a vigilant witch.
Bianca Monroe is finally happy.
The Central Network has recovered from war. Peace is holding. And Bianca has found purpose teaching new Guardian recruits how to use a sword.
For the first time in years, she has something steady.
Something worth protecting.
The last thing she wants is change.
But at the third annual Celebration of all Networks, Bianca is thrown into a dangerous new crisis when a mortal girl named Ava lands in her lap with a secret no one wants to face.
As the Celebration continues, Bianca realizes something chilling: she may be the only witch who cares whether Ava lives or dies.
And Bianca has a secret of her own.
Her magic has stopped working.
With high-ranking witches closing in and fragile peace hanging by a thread, Bianca must choose between protecting the Network she has fought so hard to save and defending a vulnerable girl everyone else is willing to sacrifice.
Can Bianca save Ava without destroying the peace Alkarra has only just begun to rebuild?
Or will protecting one life cost her everything?

I have read most of Katie Cross’ books, but as any fan of her knows, it is challenging to keep up with her!! Lost Magic is my favorite so far because it shows Bianca facing a unique and challenging life change. I was so impressed with how Bianca stayed unwavering in her self confidence, even in illness. She just never gives up!! She bravely faced each step of her crisis with all of her strength. I read this book several years ago when it was first written and I still remember and carry its message of Bianca’s strength with me as I face my daily challenges. Thank you Katie for writing this book!!
Delighted to return to Bianca’s world. Hadn’t realised just how much I had missed all the amazing characters from the Network Series. Looking forward to spending time with them all in the rest of the Network Saga Series. Feels like coming home.
Fantastic books just like all the other books this author has written
What do you do when you lose your soul...that's basically what happens when Bianca loses her magic. Well... you kick butt and don't take names. Bianca is at it again and it just keeps getting better! Best to not get in the way, you'll just regret it later!
Bianca is now training recruits and is not with Merrick anymore. Such a shame. Her father is High Priest of the Central Network and his name is Derek. Just who is young Ava who Bianca rescues. Ava is a mortal with a mission to complete. Bianca loses her magic and cannot even feel Letum Woods. A young eleven-year-old girl. A dangerous amulet. Who is Baxter really. A lost love. Gods. Goddesses. War threatens Alkarra again. Goddess touched. Demigods. Just who is Baxter related to. So much happening and all without Bianca having her magic. Will she ever get it back?
