Life is filled with both happiness as well as sadness. The sickness that affects mostly the central network is killing hundreds of witches. The sickness can be cured but the place to get the cure won't share the seeds needed to do so. When the leadership starts falling apart due to the sickness Max steps up as he has always done in the past until he can't. Some of our favorites succumb to this sickness and both Isadora and Sanna pitch in to help. It is a good book just sad to read.
Sisterwitches Book 5
In book 5 of our Sisterwitches series, we see a serious illness no one seems to know how to cure. Bu there’s one that may have a treatment and it will take a certain witch and dragon to find it. Because we know there is going to be loss going forward in this series, have your tissues ready - it’s only the beginning. We see Max give everything for the Network to fight this illness, as well as Isadora. You can’t put this book down. One of my favorite quotes from this book “We’re sisterwitches. We live and die together”.
6 years is a long time to suffer loss after loss. What does the future hold? What does it all mean?
Sickness, loss, death, and learning to live again. Those are the main themes as we again join Isadora and Sanna. Katie Cross keeps letting Alkarra show herself.
The continuing story has gotten really profound and intense… life has it’s ups and downs, and sometimes we must go through tough experiences… for me, this book required a box of Kleenex… but a would totally read it again! Like the previous books, just amazing writing!
The Sister Witches: Book 5, is a beautifully written book. It’s one of those rare gems that engrosses you so deeply that you can’t put it down, but at the same time it makes you wish that it will never end, because the writing is so wonderful. It is Katie Cross’s pandemic book, in which a deadly disease comes to Alkarra, and Maximillion, Isadora, Sanna, and the other characters strive to save the Central Network from an awful, spreading disease. Overall, The Sister Witches: Book 5 is about loss, grief, and learning to be open to new possibilities, when the future that you desired so deeply can’t be realized, and the past still haunts you. Katie's characters are as true, deeply realized, and interesting as ever, and her understanding of the difficulties of loss, grief, and recovery is truly remarkable. This book will make you cry at parts and cheer at other parts. It is truly a beautiful work of fiction that helps us understand human emotion more fully. I encourage you to read it, because I’m confident you’ll love it as much as I did.
