A companion novella in the
Dragonmaster Trilogy

Can read at anytime, but is best read after the second novel, FLIGHT.

What do you do when the world is afraid of magic?

They burned my brother on a stake.

For this reason, my grief and questions drive me to study his “mental condition,” starting in the Northern Network. I must scour Alkarra from top to bottom in my search to understand his life and decisions.

My burning questions cannot be ignored—my restless heart and soul crave answers. He died from this strange ailment. Or, rather, because of it. His confinement was wrong. He was not crazy. Something was different, yes. But not harmful. Not dangerous.

Something gave him sight into the future, and his murderers called it madness. I will figure it out in his name.
I am naive to the ways of the world. I have never slept under the stars or hunted for my own food or traveled on my own, despite being twenty-four years old and only a scholar.

Still, I go. I must.

Redemption isn’t free.

The Ronan Scrolls is a companion novella to the Dragonmaster Trilogy. This riveting short story will sweep you across the world of Alkarra and into the depths of a terrifying mystery. Fans of FLAME and FLIGHT can’t afford to miss this installment.

It is all in what you prefer

The Ronan Scrolls is an interesting read but more analytical in style. It explains a different type of magic that some people have vs everyday magic. It still leaves the gate wide open for your own interpretation at the end. Is this magic good or bad and a whole lot of other questions. I think it should be read after the Dragonmaster Trilogy and Chronicles to provoke some thought into different styles of magic, where do they originate and what is their purpose.

A different style

This is very different style than any other works by Katie and one that fits this add on perfectly. This can be an entry piece into the network series or a very nice add on to give some historical insight. Either way it is a good read that is well written (we expect nothing less from Katie) well edited and a fast read. Enjoy the insight into the first history of key magic abilities and let's hope for more of these.

Katie gives us much insight into the past/ future Magic’s in this book. I found it, as I find all...

Another fascinating read. Katie gives us much insight into the supremely important past/future magics of Antebellem. I found it, as I’ve found all of Katie’s books, to be exciting and engaging.

A Great addition to understanding the magic of watchers

Katie Cross is a fantastic talent, her books and her universe is one of strength, magic, and wisdom. This book ties her network series together with her Dragon series of Flame, Flight and Freedom
